Season Over

Well, the Canucks' season is over now. What can you say about that? While I wish Vancouver did win the series, I don't really think they deserved to. Calgary came out with much more determination, and their captain did a whole lot more than ours did. The whole Iginla-Ohlund match-up seemed to have fallen by the waistside and disappeared from the news after about Game 3. But it was an amazing series, and I'm not overly disappointed at the end. Game 6 was such a weird game, with the 4-0 lead, the 4-4 tie-up, the 3rd OT win. Game 7 was slow, but had its moments worth remembering. Naturally, the last-5-second goal, etc. Unfortunately, I think the Flames have much less of a chance to beat Detroit than Vancouver has of victory over the Sharks.

Kudos for Montreal in their comeback to crush Boston. I hope Ottawa finishes off Toronto too. I also hope there will be a 2004 - 2005 NHL season to cheer for.
