Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to update my blog. There really hasn't been too much exciting going on here. Life is as life is. For the most part, weekdays are taken up by work, some basketball, and workouts. Work is up and down (emotionally and stressfully), and I look forward to each weekend. In the meantime, I'm still giving lessons (training sessions) to the willing at our company's gym, teaching them the basics of weight training.
The weekends can usually tiring for some reason. Sometimes in a good way, sometimes just exhausting. Making the trip to Taipei is mentally taxing, regardless of how much fun it is. It's been a while since I've had some time in Hsinchu to just sit back, scooter around, or have time to myself. Everyone needs some "me time".
I won a foosball tournament at The Brass Monkey in Taipei a few weeks back - unfortunately, I took little pride in the win because I had to try really hard to hold back just to win by 10-5 in the final. All other scores were 10-2 or less. But I won a medal, which wasn't as cheesy as it looked online. One medal's enough. I don't think I'll be competing in that tournament again. Just doesn't seem fair.
CS was in town in Hsinchu over the weekend to visit. Great to see a familiar face, and he brought a care package from the folks (MH, RT, WW) back home. I feel cared for now. Thanks guys! Aside from that, I played host and showed CS around Hsinchu - as little as there is to see. Then NK and I took him to dinner at a Hotel Royal Hsinchu not far from where I live. After dinner, we threw him into a cab and told him to "go back where [he] came from!"
And really, that's all that's been going on with me.
